Your Medical/GP Visit Card entitles you to a range of services from your General Practitioner which are determined by the HSE and the Department of Health, for which the doctor receives payment from the state.
There are, however, a number of additional services provided by many General Practitioners which are not covered by the agreement between the state and General Practitioners. The most commonly requested services not covered by Medical/GP Visit Cards are listed here and if you require any of these services please consult with the practice staff to see if they are available and what arrangements are in place for the provision of such services.
